Summary:

Voloz - be part of their collective experience - it's wild!

More Details

A packed Omnibus Theatre lapped up the entertaining antics of The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Co-Director and Co-writer Olivia Zeprhy drives this physical comedy with all the elements of Comedia, burlesque, slapstick and farce. The Voloz Collective Theatre Company carry these shenanigans off with style, pace and total commitment to storytelling, that can reach to any age group and in any language – you always know what is afoot with this spiralling whodunnit.

These ex-Lecoq students have created a whirlwind of creativity that entertains the audience with the adventures of our despondent and confused protagonist Roger Clement. This man of habit and imagination finds himself embroiled in a journey that ricochets from Paris, to London to NY in the blink of an eye as the story of espionage, subterfuge, deception and collusion unfold with the Voloz Theatre Company in rapid time and with much hilarity.

Voloz whisk us through a range of characters and situations with their wonderful bold, theatrical and entertaining story telling, all accompanied by a live musical soundtrack that is quirky and totally in keeping with they high octane humour.

The company, in their neutral grey costumes are anything but drab as Voloz, give a turn of the head, a flick of the hair, a raising of an eyebrow new meaning with their physical portrayals that stretch, bend and flip with only a few a props to hand. Voloz creates before your very eyes a kaleidoscope of characters that pull, punch and pummel Roger – and the romp is great fun. Voloz’s creative ingenuity is endless with newspapers used as frames, birds, shields and then we have stairs, ladders and even a flight in space all brilliantly created before your very eyes by the talented Voloz.

It’s all clever stuff and judging by the audience reception their forth coming tour and appearance at the Edinburgh Festival is bound to be a hit – see it now before the it sells out!
