Encompass Covers the Bare Essentials in New Writing Night

March 28, 2016 by Tom Bailey Leave a Comment

London is a hotbed for new writing – new shows emerge on a weekly basis ready to challenge, shock or tickle audiences with every passing moments. But with so many new pieces, often it’s hard to find a suitable platform for shows to be performed on. Encompass Productions has a solution – platforming new pieces at their Bare Essentials nights – a series of events showcasing new writing where it can be seen by experts and reviewers.

Some of the most exciting new work has come out of these nights recently, and 2016 looks set to maintain this consistent high quality with the first show this week. The full line up is as follows:

‘Sunshine’ by Kitt Lavoie
‘No Broken Bones’ by Ilan Wachsman
‘The Imaginary Friends Club’ by Kiran Benawra
‘Like A House On Fire’ by Keith Gow
‘The Spin Doctor’ by Sem Megson
‘The Man Who Ran A Red’ by Eli Keren

Each being performed across the week to audiences and reviewers. slideimage2

The most exciting part about Bare Essentials is that they are constantly on the lookout for exciting new writers ready to pick up the pen and get material onstage! Find out more information about signing up here, and dig out your old scripts and get them sent over – what’s the harm in trying?

Bare Essentials will be running from the 29th March to the 1st April at the Take Courage Theatre. You can find out more and buy tickets here.
