Behind the Scenes at My Mother Said I Never Should

March 21, 2016 by Tom Bailey Leave a Comment

Charlotte Keatley’s My Mother Said I Never Should has been causing some excitement in the run up to its arrival at the St. James’ Theatre on the 13th April, and theatre enthusiasts can now have their appetites sated with this fantastic new video from the company.

Highlighting the cast, including National treasure Maureen Lipman (Oklahoma, Outside Edge, See How They Run) and Olivier-award winning Katie Brayben (Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, King Charles III, American Psycho), this is a stellar piece that is sure to be the talk of the town next month! Compared with its original debut, it’s clear that this time round Keatley is treating the project in a very new light, one that will certainly transform the nature of the text and its resonance through contemporary society.
