Page to Stage: Calling new writers! Event: Tues 29 Sept.

August 29, 2015 by Miranda Harrison Leave a Comment

Artists Anonymous are delighted to present Page to Stage. The next event is on Tues 29 Sept at The Horse & Stables, near Waterloo – and we’d like to hear from theatre scriptwriters!

Page to Stage is a script development and networking event for London theatre-makers. Writers are invited to submit a new 10-minute script (or excerpt of a longer script) to be rehearsed by actors and directors, then shared and given feedback by an industry panel. It’s a great way to try out new material, see your work performed, receive feedback and advice from the experts, and create useful working relationships with other theatre-makers.

Four pieces are chosen. Actors and directors are then invited to apply to specific script breakdowns.

Tip 1: Scripts should have 2-4 characters, and be suitable for performance as a rehearsed reading in a small playing area.
Tip 2: The actors who apply to Page to Stage always comprise more female than male, with a broad age range.

Submitting your script is easy:
(i) Complete the short form – attached here: Artists-Anonymous-Script-Submission
(ii) Send the form and your script to: london@artists-anonymous.org.

Deadline for submitting your script: Friday 12 September.

If your script is chosen, please be sure that you can attend on the day – the evening is all about the feedback and responses to your work. You will be asked for £10 on the day, as a contribution towards the organisation of the evening.
