Kay Michael is an emerging director who has just finished directing a short run of Dan Murphy’s A Local Boy at the Pleasance. Fresh from experience of working with Katie Mitchell on The Cherry Orchard (Young Vic) and 2071 (The Royal Court Theatre) she talks to Theatre Bubble about her experiences of the extensive R&D for A Local Boy, her obsession for European Theatre and playwrights and her concerns for the future of theatre.
