Writers wanted for Theatre Bubble

Theatre Bubble wants new writers!

As you will know if you read us, Theatre Bubble is a newish theatre news and review site. We review shows at fringe venues but also and increasingly, the larger off West End theatres. We are putting a call out for contributing bloggers, reviewers and those wishing to write about a theatrical issue that concerns them. We are looking for people who are passionate about theatre and want to write about it, for those who practise within it or just see it a lot and love writing. We are also looking for bloggers outside London who can write about their local theatre for our mostly London based audience.

Theatre Bubble is volunteer led so the positions are unpaid, which means you can contribute as little or as much as you like. However, writing for us gives you the opportunity to attend press nights, build up your own connections with various theatres and PR companies and network, and build up a portfolio of work if you wish. You may also find your reviews occasionally receiving a bigger audience than you imagined.

If interested please send us either a review of no more than 600 words of a play or theatrical work you have recently seen or a pitch for an article in no more than a few paragraphs. We are looking for writers who are engaged with current issues in theatrical debate.

If new to reviewing, this article by Lyn Gardner with a few pointers, may help.

But we are looking for different styles and voices as well, so we don’t mind if Matt Trueman or Andrew Haydon are more your bag.
