Shows on the Rise at VAULT Festival 2018: 2 Become 1 by Swipe Right Theatre

January 31, 2018 by Tom Bailey Leave a Comment

The VAULT Festival is coming to town! From January 24th to March 18th, over three hundred new shows explode across a festival of festivals in their Waterloo home. With new venues, new bars, new food and plenty of surprises, VAULT 2018 is the biggest, fairest platform in London for artists to present innovative, daring work. Here the team from Swipe Right Theatre give us their best 90s fashion inspo ready for 2 Become 1 in February!

2 Become 1 is the ultimate 90s pop musical – so obviously you’ll need the ultimate 90s outfit to join the gang! Whether you want to rock the “grunge look”, or if the Clueless matching two piece is more your thing, Swipe Right Theatre are here to give you our top tips to perfect your look!

First things first, PLATFORMS! Choose between a patent-leather boot, heavyset trainer, or a chunky jelly shoe – as long as you look like your walking on concrete blocks, you can’t go wrong!

Now onto the outfit, Everyone has a Union Jack dress in the back of their wardrobe, right? Or if you’re feeling particularly out there, why not try the Madonna cone bra? If that’s a bit too far – understandably – throw on a pair of low–slung jeans with a bedazzled crop top for a super easy 90s outfit – but you’ll need a sparkly belly button ring and choker to properly create the look!

Last but not least, HAIR! Could you pull off Bjork’s headful of tiny buns? Or are you more likely to do “The Rachel”? Whatever your style – chuck all the scrunchies and butterfly clips you can get your hands on into your crimped locks and you’ve smashed the 90s hairstyle!

NOW BOYS, this one isn’t just for the ladies – part your hair into “curtains” and get your double-denim on if you want the N’sync vibe, or maybe you see yourself as a true trendsetter, then why not give a colourful tracksuit a go – Fresh Prince style.

If this all seems like too much effort (AS IF?!) just cover yourself in body glitter, and get yourself to the Vault Festival on the 7th-10thof February to SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! @swiperightTC

2 Become 1 is running at the VAULT theatre from the 7th – 10th of February at 20:25. Tickets and more information can be found here.
